I’m really excited to announce that I’ve again been included in the Edinburgh Monarchs lineup for 2014. My first year with the Monarchs was great and I adapted to a team sport pretty well and enjoyed being a part of a team that had a really good feel about it and achieved quite a lot of success. The lineup for 2014 has only three riders staying on from last year’s team but I feel sure that we can continue the good team spirit we had last year.
I’m going to have to head back a littler earlier next year as I’ve also signed to ride for the Outrup Club in Denmark and will need to get to Denmark to get some bikes together ready for the start of their season prior to the commencement of the UK season in March. Also, I have signed with Unibax Torun in Poland as one of their junior riders and I’m rapt. This is a huge opportunity for me to get some time on the larger Polish tracks and I hope that I can continue to improve my riding skills and performances throughout 2014.
It is going to be a really busy year but one that I’m looking forward to and I welcome the challenges ahead.
In the meantime, there are still come important races in Australia coming up. Firstly I will be attempting to qualify for the Australian Senior 500cc Speedway Title which will take place on 3 January in Kurri Kurri. If I perform well enough to progress, the first round will be held the following night, also in Kurri Kurri prior to the second round at Undera in Victoria with the final round to be held at Gillman, Adelaide on Saturday 11 January.
Then on 25 January I will be defending the Australian Under 21 Title which will be run at Gillman. The field entered looks really competitive so should provide some great racing.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has supported me in one way or another over the last 12 months. It’s been a massive first year and the next 12 months are shaping up to busier and more challenging than ever.
Best wishes to everyone for Christmas and hoping the new year is a happy and successful one for everyone.
