On to the GP Qualifier Semi Final

Since the Under 21 Qualifier it’s been a really hectic time for me.  I’ve had lots of meetings in the UK, Poland and Denmark and have scored consistently at each meeting.  I’ve been particularly happy with my form for Rybnik and their track is one that I really enjoy riding at.  The fans there are great too and are particularly passionate about their team.  My first meeting there was held in front of 9,000 fans.  Rybnik are currently on top of the league ladder and I’m really happy to be scoring some good points for the team.  I’m also enjoying my regular trips to Denmark to race for Region Varde Elite Sports where I’ve been riding in the No. 1 position for the last couple of meetings because my good scores meant that my average went up.  I’ve continued to score well in that position and enjoy riding there and it’s been a good challenge however I should drop back down into the body of the team at my next meeting.

The weather in the UK is still a bit unpredictable but we’ve managed to get some meetings in for Belle Vue and the team is travelling pretty well scoring some vital points at the away meetings (with one loss)  and getting a draw at home.  Unfortunately, two of our home meetings in June were washed out and will have to be re-staged later in the year but we did get a draw against Coventry at home this week and were pretty happy to get that result against such a strong side.  These results have moved us into a playoff position of 4th on the league ladder so hopefully we can sustain that and reach the playoffs this year.

I am now on my way to Terenzano in Italy to contest the GP Qualifying Semi Final and will miss the return match to Coventry on Friday which is disappointing however, I am looking forward to the very tough competition that I will face in Italy.  I have been drawn in probably the most challenging Semi Final with some very, very tough riders in my draw and only the top 7 will progress.  This is the same track that I went well in at the Under 21 Qualifying event so I can only hope that my form continues and I’m able to put in some good rides that will hopefully take me through to the final.  This will be a huge achievement if I can get through to the final which will be held at Rybnik, a track that I like and am familiar with, so fingers crossed I can make it through.
