Elite League Final for Coventry

After my successful ride for the Coventry Bees at which I scored 10 points and assisted them to get to the play-off final, I was really happy that they considered me again to fill in for the injured Ben Barker in the second leg of the Elite League Final.  This was a huge honour and I felt under a bit of pressure to perform to repay them for their confidence in me.

Once again I was rode in the No. 3 position and Coventry were up against the very strong Poole Pirates at their home track and went in with a three point deficit to try and peg back.  Unfortunately, against a team like Poole and at their home track, they were just too strong on the night and the Bees ended up runners up.

The atmosphere at the Elite League final was fantastic and this was a great experience for me.  I managed to score 3+1 points and although the Bees didn’t quite pull off the final, I would like to thank the management for giving me a taste of my first Elite League Grand Final and also the other riders and fans for making me feel so welcome on the number of occasions that I guested for them this year.

I really appreciate the opportunity and to have the chance to ride at some of the Elite League tracks can only put me in a better position when I actually get to ride in the Elite League full time.
