2011 NSW Junior 125cc Speedway Title

I travelled to Cowra at the beginning of October to participate in the NSW Junior Speedway Title and had a really successful meet.  Due to bad weather the event was postponed until Sunday and the Cowra Club needs to be congratulated on the track preparation.  On Sunday the racing began and even after all the rain the track was great.

My bike was going really well and I won all 5 heats giving me the best possible starting gate to contest the final which had last year’s winner, Brady Kurtz, Jack Holder also from New South Wales and Zane Kennedy from Queensland in the lineup representing the finest junior talent in the country at the moment.

I had been gating really well all day and managed another fantastic start to lead into the first corner.  I had to contend with Jack Holder who was on my wheel applying pressure throughout the race and he then took 2nd place.  He was closely followed by Brady Kurtz and Zane Kennedy.

I was really happy to win the trophy against such good competition and look forward to some more intense racing against these guys during the coming season – it’s going to be tough and I can’t wait.
