Poland – here I come!

I’ve had an amazing first week in the UK. The Courtneys, who I’m staying with, had tickets and pit passes to the Cardiff GP in Wales. Joe and I spent hours in the pits checking out all the bikes and meeting some of the riders.

Attending the Cardiff GP was a fantastic experience and has reaffirmed my desire to someday compete on the European circuit.

I managed to get a ride on the 500cc at the Edinburgh speedway track before we headed to Denmark yesterday. Unfortuately it’s been raining here but I hope that it will clear tomorrow so that I can get a couple of days practice to familiarise myself with the bike prior to heading to Poland. I’m praying this rain doesn’t affect the track.

I’m in the second quarter final heat, which consists of 5 races, and is scheduled for 6 July with those with the highest points proceeding to the semi finals on the 8th of July. If I manage to get this far, the finals will then be run on the 9th.

I’m getting really excited about getting to Poland and can’t wait for the racing to start.

In this picture we are meeting the winner of the event, American Greg Hancock, who was a really nice bloke.
